Project description

Restoration of an 1835 Greek Revival in the French Quarter New Orleans to house upper luxury apartment units and a trendy sneaker retail shop (Sneaker Politics) on the ground floor.  Restorations included a full gut and revamp of the interior space of the building along with a new elevator and interior stair enclosure.  Exterior work included restoration of exterior windows & doors, new cantilevered balconies for the Clinton Alley facade, and brick pointing of exterior facades along with removal of emergency fire escape from the Decatur street facade.

Some hurdles and opportunities realized on this project included:

Multiple Code Appeals were needed to accomplish the ultimate occupancy goal, single stair configuration, separation design requirements between multiple occupancy and Historic Tax credits were employed to bring this beauty back into commerce!
